Code of Conduct

By signing up on the SBRGaming website you agree to abiding by the below conditions. Any act violating one of the rules below can result in punishment up to expulsion from SBRGaming and SBRGaming activities.

1. Be inclusive.

We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes but is not limited to members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, color, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.

2. Be respectful.

We all depend on each other to produce the best gaming experience for everyone. We won't all agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for disrespectful behavior. We will all experience frustration from time to time, but we cannot allow that frustration become personal attacks. An environment where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not an acceptable one by SBR standards.

When using the forums, we are sharing a digital space meant for meaningful discussion. You are expected to be kind and respectful of one another and differing opinions. Keep name-calling to a minimum and remember that sarcasm is difficult to read over text.

3. No harassment.

Always conduct yourself professionally. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior aren't acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Threats of violence.

  • Sexism

  • Racism

  • Homophobia

  • Discriminatory jokes and language.

  • Sharing sexually explicit material to other members of SBR.

  • Personal insults using racial or sexist terms.

  • Unwelcome sexual attention.

  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.

In general, if someone asks you to stop something, then stop. When we disagree, try to understand why. Differences of opinion and disagreements are mostly unavoidable. What is important is that we resolve disagreements and differing views constructively.

4. Be civil.

We are a gaming community, but we do encourage building relationships with other members of SBR. You can post about whatever you want on the forums, minding that it is in the correct category. But we ask that you keep the trolling to a minimum and try not to post anything political. SBRGaming is full of diverse backgrounds and political views, posting about politics is only going to create unnecessary and unwanted problems within the community.
